Social Media. Get your company or yourself onto as many social networking sites possible. Use your products or company name or your even your own name if you are trying to brand yourself. The more exposure to everyone the more likely people are to stumble upon you or whatever you are trying to brand.

There are many services out there that allow people to update all the social media from one location very easily. Use this to your advantage to get information to people about what you or the company is doing.

Best branding tip for online-only businesses:

Always use your domain name as your brand. It's "BrandingDavid.com" - not "BrandingDavid." Amazon.com always uses the ".com" in their name - their official business name is "Amazon.com LLC"

Edmunds.com isn't just "Edmunds"

If you want people to recognize you as an online entity, always use your domain name. This also means that your domain should be "[business name].com" - don't settle for anything less, or else you'll be diluting the brand name.

The best *personal* branding tip I have is to try to use the same username across all websites and services, but, *obviously* not the same passwords (you do use different passwords, right?).

There will be cases where you can't use the same username, so try to use something similar enough to your mail one.
